Focus Adjustment

This week I am changing my focus a bit. For the past few, I have been concentrating on swimming in general and volume in particular. The focus on swimming will continue, however, I plan to aim for more quality and let the obsession with volume go. About 20,000 meters per week is enough. Monday, I did just that. It was thundering and lightening when I woke up so I took a run in the morning (4.33) and did not swim until after lunch. I went to the little pool and did

1,500 26:54
15 X 100 @ 2:07 (1:30 - 1:33)
200 medium paddles 3:35
brick kick
600 back 13:55
50 kick with Zoomers
600 large paddles 10:50
total: 4,400 yards = 4,021 meters.

After 5:00, I went to Plate City. It was heavy push night so on the bench I pressed

12 X 45
6 X 65
4 X 100
2 X 120
1 X 140
1 X 150
2 X 150
3 X 150
4 X 150
5 X 150
5 X 140 with one board under bench

I did a bunch of other stuff and finished with 2:20 on the New Swim Machine.

That was one solid day. Thank you, Jesus.
