I split the difference Wednesday. At the pool, I swam
1,250
7 X 50 @ 1:16
1,250
7 X 50 @ 1:!6
1,300 (with 125 back)
total: 4,500 yards = 4,113 meters
That wasn't a bad practice, a little short, but not too bad. I had planned more, but I had received the news that the Mississippi State Senior Olympics had been postponed. That took a little wind out of my sails. I figured that until I know the date, I don't want to hit the speed button too hard too many times. In other words, I don't want to peak too early.
I shuffled 2.61 miles. The knee cut up on me a little bit. At the gym, I did legs and pulls. Despite some knee issues running, I was able to squat. I found that the key was to move slowly. Slow down, slow up. On the one-armed bent row, I pulled
21 X 40
15 X 50
10 X 50
4 X 65
4 X 65
4 X 65
I also did one set of barbell rows, 10 X 75.
For my old favorite Swim Pull, I handled
11 X 50
10 X 60
6 X 61.5
On the high rack pull, I did
10 X 120
5 X 135
3 X 195
3 X 200
3 X 205 (a new Association of Sports Strongmen world record)
Why have I been forgetting the high rack pull? That is one heck of an exercise. I also did some facepulls at
22 X 20
15 X 25
11 X 30
My squat numbers remain classified. It's just that way.
Thank you, Jesus.
