First Saturday is my favorite day of the week. I sleep in. Monday through Thriday I get up at 4:14 a.m. And I am not a morning person. When First Saturday rolls around, I make that between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. Just whenever I feel like it, I get up. Then I drink coffee, lots of coffee. And I hang out with the cats, peck on the computer, and study for Sunday. After all of that, I go to the pool.
Getting to the water at 10:10 means I am fully awake when I wade in. First Saturday is also the day of the virtual swim meets. This time, I swam
1,200 22:30 (1:52)
700 for time 10:34 (1:30)
300 5:34 (1:51)
100 for time 1:18
325 6:01 (1:50
300 for time 4:26 (1:28)
625 small paddles 11:13 (1:47)
9 X 50 medium paddles
total: 4,000 yards = 3,656 meters
That's a good practice right there. I don't care who you are.
After lunch, I had a bucket full of errands to run. At the very end of the day, I made it to Plate City. It was pull day. I lifted
One-armed bent dumbbell row
15 X 40
6 X 45
5 X 50
5 X 50
5 X 55
5 X 55
Pullups
3, 3, 3, 3, 1 + 7.5, 1 + 7.5
Swim Pull
12 X 33
13 X 34.5
dumbbell curl
18 X 20
I didn't run because I hope to get a little fresh for the ten-miler Saturday in Batesville. It was a productive day. Thank you, Jesus.
