12/17 - 12/22

Another good swim week plus some solid lifting. I already wrote about Monday and my 3,199 meters, and Tuesday and the 2,742 meters. I did not swim Wednesday, but did Thursday and scribbled about the 6,625 yards I did them. Saturday I swam again. It went like this:

The drop set now totals 1,350 yards and leaves me huffing for air. I  took some seconds off some of the turnarounds, but I swam the early reps way faster so that the lactic acid didn't start stacking until I got to the 100s. That is where I will add next week, either there or with the 50s. I already adjusted the workout in my watch, but I still will have adequate rest after the 400, 300, and 200. I starts getting huffy with the 150 and gets worse from there. It is a stamina set. Really, it works everything, endurance, stamina, and speed.

After the drop set, I did

150 medium paddles
100 large paddles
50 extra large paddles
2 X 25 with forearm paddles
total: 3,500 yards = 3,179 meters.

For the week, I swam 17,297 meters, and lifted weights three times. Praise be to God
