That Kind of Day

Wednesday, I continued with the new focus on quality. At the pool, I went in the the plan to try a 100 @ 2:00 set to see how many reps I could get in a long course pool. After that the idea was some 400s with a floating 100. It went like this:

  1,600 35:10
  3 X 100 @ 2:00
    1 - 1:44
    2 - 1:46
    3 - 1:51
  50 picking up money
  150 easy
  4 X 400 @ 9:15
    1 - 1st 100 fast 8:03
    2 - 2nd 100 fast 8:07
    3 - 3rd 100 fast 8:07
    4 - 4th 100 fast 8:07
  3 X 100 medium paddles
  brick kick (short)

After lunch, I shuffled 4.52 miles then I watched the men's open water swim in the Olympics. When the race was over, I went to Plate City. There I did legs and played with the New Swim Machine. I experimented with using it while riding the stationary bicycle. That works, but not that well. The angles are different and I did not get as hard of a pull from the swim machine.

So it was another solid day, a butt-Beetsing, a Heart O' Dixie, a Senior Olympics day. Thank you, Jesus.
