The new week began early. By 5:00 a.m. I was in the pool and swimming. I did
1,200 23:50 (1:58)
5 X 50 @ 1:09
200 small paddles
5 X 50 @ 1:09
350 small paddles
total: 2,250 yards = 2,056 meters
Since I did my long run Monday last week, I thought to do the same this week. The weather was nice, 71 degrees and cloudy. I did 14.53 miles. While out Money Road, I stopped to take a leak. I suppose most guys look at the stream, especially if we are outdoors, because it is one way not to pee on your shoes. I was shocked. What I was peeing looked like cherry Kool Aide. I have peed blood before, sometimes a bit dark, but this was stunning and frightening. "Am I going into rhabdomyolysis?" I questioned. "Am I going to die?"
I got to thinking over my last week of training. It was pretty full, but Sunday I only rested and did lots of that. Would, could rhabdo hit after a day off? Then I remembered having some pain Sunday afternoon, pain in the kidney area. I was experiencing discomfort now and it was all low, below the kidney. Then I concluded that it was just one more kidney stone. Lovely. I have not drunk a pop in a long time. Sigh.
I finished the run feeling good. Now it was time for Plate City. Bench day. Who doesn't love bench day? I pressed
17 X 95
8 X 115
8 X 115
8 X 115
8 X 115
Incline dumbbell bench press
11 X 30
Overhead dumbbell press
9 X 25
3 X 30
Triceps push down
32 X 30
22 X 35
15 X 37.5
It was another good day designed to give me victory over Randy Beets. Thank you, Jesus.
