Thursday

I finally got out a little before lunch and took a shuffle. I worked pretty hard most of the morning. Then I went out for a 2.66 mile run in the sun. That was something, the sunshine. It has rained almost every day this entire year of 2020.

What do you think I did after lunch? Three guesses. No one.

Right.

I swam

2,000 38:39
8 X 50 @ 1:16
600 small paddles 11:15
500 tt 7:44
600 small paddles
brick kick
325 6:22
600 back 14:01
total: 5,025 yards = 4,592 meters

Of course I went to Plate City. Since my schedule was wacked because of doubling up yesterday, I did what I did Monday, rotators, shoulders, and biceps. On the dumbbell curl, I pulled

24 X 15
18 X 20
11 X 25
  8 X 30
  3 X 35

I did a bunch of lateral raises and two sets of the Swim Pull as 12 X 50 and 11 X 52.5. I also did some reverse flys and facepulls at

15 X 20
15 X 25
15 X 30
13 X 31

That was a pretty solid day and it certainly beats Randy Beets sitting in a horse trough fuming about me swimming. I really am sorry that he can't swim. Thank you, Jesus, that I still am able to do that. A lot of people all over America can't swim and can't go to their gym.

I am getting in pretty good swimming shape. That makes me sad that the senior olympics have been postponed. The language of their announcement slightly hinted that they might not reschedule. Also, with Chicot on the bubble, there is a monkey wrench in the machinery every where I turn. Thank, God, however, that I have these problems. Having these issues means I still have hope, hope that something is going to happen, to come off and give me an avenue of competition.
