BBU 27 (Peak Week)

For endurance events, I like to peak, in terms of volume, three weeks out from the target race. I did that last week. Monday we rode 17.45 miles. Also, I ran 3.55 miles and swam 2,600 yards in the little pool.

Tuesday it was 13.71 on the bicycle, 3,200 meters in the big pool, and 2.39 miles on the road. In addition to that, I lifted at Plate City Gym.

The assault on the numbers continued Wednesday with a 48.17 mile bicycle ride. I hit the big pool for 4,100 long course meters, and the roadwork was 3.24. I added a little bit of lifting at The City.

Thursday and Friday saw my running numbers drop, but I was still getting a few in. Thursday I rode 13.2 to give me 102.53 for the week. I ran a mere 1.25 and swam a solid 3,600 meters. Added to that was some lifting. Friday I took off the bicycle but ran 1.11 and swam a big5,200 yards in the little pool.

Saturday was finish up day. I finished up my goal of 20,000 meters in the pool with 2,200 yards in the indoor pool. On the road, I stretched myself to 10.43 miles.

For the week, I

  swam 20,038 meters,
  ran 21.97 miles,
  cycled 102.53 miles, and
  lifted weights three times.

I did not Skierg, but that was still one solid week that will give me the endurance to do Quadrathon, which is coming up in 17 days. Please pray. We need health, safety, good weather, and generous fundraising. I am about to mail in $300 more dollars. That brings this year's total to $640. We are still a long way from our goal of $7,500. Thank you, Jesus, for those who have donated.
