I felt like I finally got back to training today despite the fact that I had low energy and called the swim session off early. Maybe I'm worn down from the training, the competition, and the travel to and fro. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I mowed the front lawn Tuesday afternoon. Maybe I haven't been sleeping well lately. Maybe. The yard had to be mowed. We have had monsoon-like rains lately, and since someone sprayed our yard a couple of years ago and killed our grass, the weeds are terrible this time of year.
I went to the pool.
At the pool, I swam
2,000 36:49 (1:46)
7 X 50 @ 1:09 (that has become my favorite interval for the 50)
250 small paddles
3 X 150 @ 3:15
300 kick with fins
total swim: 3,050 = 2,781 meters
After the swim I went home and hit Plate City for the first time in a week and a day. Mostly I benched like this:
15 X 45
10 X 65
8 X 95
5 X 115
5 X 135
5 X 135
5 X 135
5 X 135
5 X 135
Incline dumbbell 15 X 30
I did not get around to taking a run. I need to work the legs. Forrest and I are scheduled to do a 42-mile bike ride Saturday, and I have been letting the legs go.
Good day. Thank you, Jesus.
