In the early afternoon, I did a pull workout at Plate City. I finished it up in time to go inside and watch the Alabama game. In the future, that will not be an issue because eventually, I will have a TV in Plate City.
At halftime, I went back to the gym to start workout number three (or was it number three and four?) While I worked legs for strength, I also did some running on the treadmill as well as spinning on the stationary bicycle.
What? You ran on the treadmill and there was not a tornado forcing you to do that?
Guilty. But it saved me time and gave me a totally new workout, one that got me excited. I did several rounds of
trap bar deadlift plus shrugs
squats
treadmill run
stationary bicycle spin
I would rest between rounds, change plates, and write down my numbers. It was real. It was fun. But it was not real fun. In fact, it was real hard.
This workout convinced me not to sale my stationary. In an effort to revamp the gym, I had decided to sale the bike. But I think now I will keep it. Of course I have my rode bike and trainer, but the stationary has the advantage of me not having to change shoes so I can do circuit training like I did Saturday. I can always set up my trainer if I want to do a long trainer ride. That is one reason for the TV. Long rides in one spot are like treadmill running: boring. A revamped Plate City will be a training gold mine. Thank you Jesus.
