Hodge Versus Beets Meat

Hodge Versus Beets Meat

(Lehrton, Mississippi) Zane Hodge and Randy Beets have signed a contract to conduct a virtual swim meet Friday, October 11th. This comes on the heels of their historic virtual swim race that saw Hodge edge the Tall Guy by a narrow three second margin over 500 yards.

"This is great for the sport," Dr. Timothy Nomann, president of Big ASS Endurance, said the day after the 500 yard race the two rivals conducted Friday, October the 4th. "A swim meet, the two athletes doing more than one event, will make each one train harder and swim faster than they ever would without the meet."

Hodge agreed. "The 500 we swam put a lot of pressure on me and caused me to swim really fast. It was a good training day, and it is a great day any time I can beat Beets."

Beets was also looking forward to Friday. "It will be my chance to smash the little pygmy. He's going down."

Nomann was surprised at how quickly the two sides were able to come to an agreement. "I thought this would take months. It only took minutes."

At first, Beets, who holds the Big ASS record for the 100, lobbied for all sprints. Hodge balked at that and wanted all endurance events. When Nomann suggested a mix, the two side quickly came to agreement.

The events and their order is as follows: 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 500 freestyle. All swims are short course yards.

"Who knows where this could lead," Nomann added. "The sky is the limit and the fans are the winners."
