Day Two of Return from the Babylonian Captivity

Day two of my return from the Babylonian Captivity was a solid one. I drank lots of coffee and hung out with CC and Luvie. The roofers were there by 9:00 and making a racket. That made the cats nervous. About 10:30 I went out for a shuffle and did a mere 2.48 miles. It feels awfully good to be running again.

I was supposed to meet John at the pool at 3:30. Since he was only five minutes late Monday, I knew he would have to make up for that Tuesday. I started swimming a little early. John was twenty-five minutes late. Why am I surprised?  Since I did a straight swim yesterday, I felt like I needed to do some sets. I swam

1,100 23:07

6 X 200 as

 1 - 3:34 first 50 fast

 2 - 3:52 second 50 fast

3 - 3:32 fourth 50 fast (I miscounted; intended to do the third fast then the fourth)

 4 - 3:40 small paddles

 5 - 3:47 first and last 25 fast

50 easy

total: 2,350 yards = 2,147 meters.

Of course I went to Plate City. What, think I'm a degenerate, lazy? It was pull day. I started with a set of one-arm rows to warm up: 22 X 40. I kept adding to that move throughout the session but the main set was lat pull downs. On that I pulled

20 X 60

16 X 65

16 X 70

12 X 75

On the one-arm bent rows, I went to

3 X 50

3 X 55

3 X 60

3 X 65

2 X 70

I did other stuff, but I'll spare you the details.

It was a nice day. Thank you, Jesus, for deliverance from Babylon.
