I was supposed to meet John at the pool at 6:00 a.m. He was late. I swam 2,800 straight in an embarrassingly slow 1:08:17 which is 2:25 per 100 meters. I can remember reading about coaches working with people who swam that pace and feeling sorry for the swimmers.
I had to work from 8:00 until 5:00 so I had to do everything else late in the day. First I lifted doing a bench session of
flat barbell bench
11 X 95
6 X 120
4 X 140
2 X 150
2 X 150
1 X 155
incline dumbbell bench press
10 X 40
decline barbell bench press
12 X 100
triceps push down
46 X 20
That was a pretty decent session even though it was 96 degrees out. I am about as heat acclimated right now as I have ever been. Then I went inside and waited for a carpenter to come by and look at some work we need done. He didn't show up so I took my run in the dark. I went a super slow 2.61 miles.
Thank you, Jesus, and please help us find a carpenter.
